École Centrale de Lille is one of the Leading multi-disciplinary engineering schools (Grande Ecole) in France. The ACE area (Urbanization, Construction, Environment), headed by Professor Zoubeir LAFHAJ, aims to allow last year (Master level) engineering students to acquire the competences and qualifications of Urbanism and Construction Civil Engineering.
This first edition of the International Workshop aims to bring together students and professionals around the themes of 3D Printing and Lean Construction. The day will be organized around lectures, round tables, and moments of informal exchanges.
The event seeks to create, for the first time, a dynamic around the Lean Construction and 3D printing thematics in the region as well as in France. Lean Construction and 3D printing in construction are still a mystery for a large audience regarding its implementation and practical side. The objective is to introduce 3D Printing (new technology) with a focus on its practical implementation side and the interaction between (Lean and 3D printing at different levels (organization level, managerial, economics…)
